SPECIAL EVENT GREAT DOG DAY BY THE BAY AT BENICIA'S MARINA GREEN

Enjoy the day downtown Benicia on the Marina Green. The city of Benicia was ranked the 4th dog friendliest city in the country by Dog Fancy Magazine. To celebrate this geat honor Benicia Main Street will be hosting "It is a Great Dog Day by the Bay" on Saturday August 28th from 10am to 2pm. All this is happening at the Marina Green on First Street. Meet Char and our volunteers and of course their adopted ex racers. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about greyhound adoption.
Activities included dog contests, doggie treats, dog demonstrations and more. Free to the public. Enter your dog in the contests and a portion of the entry fees will be going to the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society.

The San Francisco Zoo's parking lot will transform into an official pet adoption center complete with pet friendly activities for the entire family. Every one no matter what your age will enjoy the training workshops, poop and scoop games for kids, photo opportunities with the real Animal Cops and much much more. Come meet Candy and many of our Golden State Greyhound Adoption volunteers, they will bring their ex racing greyhounds for you to see and be there to answer any questions about adoption.

Join us at the California Home and Garden and Gourmet Show three days of celebration, education, information and entertainment. Most of all meet our volunteers and our ex racing greyhounds. The Home show is the largest in the area. Bring your entire family and have fun seeing all the great stuff for your home improvement projects and of course what better addition for your home and family than an ex greyhound racer.

Alameda County Fair presents "the Puppy Pary Palooza" a fun and festive and informative event where families can learn all about ex racing greyhounds and how to adopt from Golden State Greyhound Adoption. They are not puppies lol our ex racers range from 2 to 5 years old. Greyt couch potatoes for a Greyt loving family. There will be dog events, including dog sports, demonstrations, Sheriff's dogs and more
Alameda Fair grounds are located off of the Bernal Ave Exit from the 680 Highway in Pleasanton. The Greyhounds will be adjacent to the Concert Pavilion.
