GREYT FRIENDS GREYT HEARTS
Denise and Jay took time to educate 7 year old Hannah about her greyhound neighbors, Bella and Magnum. Hannah took the information to her Kindergarten class so they also could learn about the plight of the racing greyhound. But action speaks louder than words and Hannah and her mom set up a cookie and lemonade stand and gave 100% of the proceeds to GSGA. Jay and Denise matched the funds and we now have $400 for medical care and food for these wonderful hounds getting ready to move to their forever home.
OUR GREYHOUNDS THANK YOU HANNAH A BIG ROO TO YOU. Because of you more greyhounds will get greyt homes like Bella and Magnum.

I AM NOT SPOILED JUST TAKING A NAP
If greyhounds could talk I don't think they would ever get what we give them. They say silence is golden and greyhounds prove that everyday. I wonder where Baglan and Cass sleep.

HOUSING CRISIS
The hounds are showing us the way. If they open there crate for a fellow greyhound can't we open our homes to one more greyt?

DEAN AT FILLMORE
Dean is showing off Shana and Tiny at our meet and greet at the Fillmore Jazz Festival. We had a great two days there, saw lots of people and educated them on how ex racers make greyt companions, especially in apartments and condos.

Steve and Cindy just adopted FreeMe now Minnie. Minnie will be sharing her home with Harpo, see our recently adopted pics. As you can see she is already channeling some of the Marx brothers traits. Minnie was Harpo Marx's mothers name and Harpo adopted a daughter and named her after his mother, Minnie. Steve and Cindy now have their own adopted greyts, Harpo and Minnie seems to all fit.

CHRISTMAS AT THE WILLOWS
Everyone had a greyt time at the Willows Shopping Center in Concord. We will be there again Dec 15th. All the Christmas shoppers enjoyed seeing our greyhounds and some are sending in their applications. Next time however we will tell the dogs where the camera is. Trust me they do have beautiful faces.

IVY AND MOM
Shelley took Ivy to meet her mom when she flew in from Colo. Kat is liking how Ivy, her daughter, turned out and could not be happier that she is safe and sound living with Shelley. Our adopters tried to dress our greyts and make them scary for Halloween. How can you make a Greyhound scary? Do you ever wonder what your hounds think when you are dressing them like this and they look in the mirror? They love us anyway.

Mohican, now Dash, is relaxing with is new guardian Zach. One thing Dash is confused about is why the family gives him a really great space to do his business in and all the humans enjoy sitting in it.

It is sometimes better to have two cats with a greyhound. Tingle, now Sophie, has to take over the chore of cleaning the cat, I hope he does not get hairballs.

We all know how hot it was this July but for Darla she made use of Tom and Susan's dog pool and kept cool. I think she is looking for her glass of cool white Zin.

OVER THE TOP
Some of our adopters go to greyt lenghts to embarass their hounds. Even so our ex racers seem to enjoy being the life of the party. Shelley spent July 3rd making "collectable" collars for our Meet and Greet hounds. On July 4th our hounds were out there and as you can see "collected" lots of $$ for the cause.

GREYHOUND SCIENCE
Joy is the first to document how long it takes for a greyhounds tongue to fall out during sleep. At least one hour. Nobel Prize? I think so, don't you. One for Joy and one for Ella.

SIBLINGS
Sisters and Brothers re-unite after a long trip for Juarez. Did they know each other? You bet they did.

THE FAMILY
Issac, Amy and Scotty just came in from Juarez. They are part of the group of 14 we just rescued. Some wonder if the sibilings know each other even if they have been separated. I can tell you these three went wild seeing each other again and after their reunion, together enjoyed a cold drink of refreshing water.

Okay so its a bit chilly in the evenings but isn't this over doing it. Not for one of the Z dogs. All are spoiled.

Okay this is getting a bit too much. First they have to pick up after us, then we can only go certain places but now they have gone too far. Only in California will they make us go in doggie outhouses. The wait is horrible and nobody can leave until they wash their feet.

It is warm and comfy and soft and it was a great present my guardians gave me. I don't know if I should tell them it moves for no reason at all. I hope its not broken and they have to give it back. There must be a button to push to turn it off because when it moves it also makes noise.

FIRST XMAS
Ulla's first visit with Santa. She got her wish, a greyt family with Kent, Travis and Mike. I wonder what Zeke is asking Santa for. I can bet you it's not another sister.

PUPPY LOVE
Zeke gave up and decided having his own puppy friend may not be the worst thing in the world. Ulla knew Zeke would be no match for her female charms. I think Ulla told Zeke to be a good boy or a cute puppy could make life for him really rough.

PUPPY LOVE
When we had an opportunity to get puppies our Colorado volunteers could not resist. We all know Greyts are special but secretly we know the pups are a tad extra special, just ask our new puppy adopters.

HARMONY
Angel one of our recently adopted greyts teaches his favorite DAL how to be a couch potato.
